Contract signed: Immediately following the events of the Miranda Incident, the future seemed pretty bleak. Mal was pretty sure that his entire ship and crew was condemned. He was told that they had all signed up to serve on Tonen. He still suspects that's true, but will only sign 3 week contracts until his entire crew is present and ready to make any decisions as to what they want to do.
